Every year I put together my Healthy Girl Holiday Gift Guide, and seasonal holistic medicinals I use to keep my family hale and hearty. My favorite part of this annual tradition is the response I get–folks sharing gratitude for having a handy guide that makes it easy to choose products that are proven, safe, and fantastic!
Based on that input from you, dear reader, I thought I’d try something new: a monthly “What I’m Loving” post that includes all the healthy products and food items I’m diggin’, with the aim to help you wade through all the choices out there. I’d love your feedback on whether you find this idea helpful.
I’d love your feedback on the blog or FB on this as to whether you find it helpful.
Without further ado, here are July’s “What I’m Loving” favorites:
I couldn’t resist picking this up when I was at my favorite bookstore in the world lsat month (#lovemesomePowellsbooks)! The recipes are easy (never more than 30 min to make), delicious, and of course highly anti-inflammatory, but the coolest thing is that there’s a plan for everybody: you can choose from Paleo, Vegan, Mediterranean, and Time Saving (my fave).
As weird as it sounds, I actually look forward to going through my nightly skincare routine because of this oil! Blended with 7 different oils, it’s extremely nourishing and helps plump the skin, but the best part is the light smell of Jasmine. Be still my heart.
(If you missed my latest blog post about why I’m passionate about this company you can read all about it here.)
A popsicle on a hot day is quintessential summer. These tasty treats are so yummy and made out of whole fruit – and the texture reminds me of the pushups we all remember from the ice cream truck! I love it and best of all, you can feel good giving it to your kiddos.
NuCulture Cashew Spread
This stuff is ridiculous(ly) good. A vegan cashew dip/spread that’s dairy and gluten free and tastes like heaven. I never would have tried the Pimento Paprika version so I was so grateful a friend introduced that flavor to me. Seriously, this stuff is DELISH and it’s tough to stop eating, but they use cultured sugar which makes this baby have probiotics, so an extra helping will be just fine. Cool, right?
(I’ve found this at my local health food market as well as grocery stores like Whole Foods.)
